It Speaks to the Heart

I love country music. There is just level of down to earth realism in the lyrics that makes the music hard to resist. There’s also the joke made that it is all about the dog dying and the girlfriend running off, not to mention the neon signs and a whole lot of beer. However, if you dig deeper, the meanings are always very profound. There’s always a message about life, love and integrity. Those old fashioned values are just not in a lot of other types of music, which is unfortunate. That’s probably why the genre is not only stable, but also growing in popularity.
