My Boss Doesn’t Want Me Wearing Headphones to Block Out the Noise
February 1st, 2010 — Home
My office is right next to the manufacturing part of the plant. Even though there is a wall between us, I have been constantly distracted by the clanging and banging that comes from next door. I guess that I must have complained enough about it, because my boss has ordered that some spray foam insulation be sprayed on the connecting wall. They may even spray the ceiling as well. This should make a big difference. I think that my boss finally got my point when I began wearing huge headphones to block out the noise. Of course, I couldn’t hear him when he wanted to talk to me. It was right after that that he ordered the foreman to fix our problem!

Coffee for Customers
January 29th, 2010 — Home
Our company is expanding and we are opening a new location in a neighboring city next month. Everything is ready to go so now the focus is on small details. Right now, my boss has me looking on the Internet for the Best Coffee Machines as he wants to set two up in the lobby. After this, he has decided I need to pick out a few magazines to subscribe to for customers to look at while waiting to be seen. I’ve never seen a man so obsessed with picking things of this nature. They tend to overlook little things that add to people’s comfort.
Buying A Used Fireplace
January 28th, 2010 — Home
Today’s fireplaces are not always the classic model with the brick and chimney. The modern Fireplace can be a stand alone unit you place in the middle of the room or anywhere in the home you want. Some are even portable. You will have to install a vent for letting out the smoke or you could get a model that you put in the wall and that has a vent right behind it (part of the unit is inside the other side is outside). Some units have a front side fire viewing area while others are 360 degrees of window to see the fire (like an indoor fire-pit).
Husband Needs Work
January 28th, 2010 — Home
My husband has been out of work for quite some time now. He did recently take a waterproofing basement floor job for a friend of ours and that brought us in some money. Of course, I work also and pay most of the bills. My husband collects unemployment, but truthfully, that’s barely enough to pay the grocery bill and maybe one utility payment. He’s trying to get a job with a construction firm. I’m hoping with spring coming on, they’ll be hiring more. Surely the housing market is going to pick up soon. We can only hope so. We’re barely making ends meet as it is.
Hot Water on Demand Means Hot Showers for All
January 27th, 2010 — Home
I used to think that being able to enjoy a leisurely hot shower in the morning was a luxury I would never enjoy again. We have a large family and I am the last to get into the bathroom in the mornings. Routinely, the hot water heater would reach capacity and I would be stuck waiting for it to reheat. We installed one of the Best Combi Boilers on the market and now I get hot water on demand. It does not matter if the rest of the family have all taken showers, I can count on the water being just as hot for as for the first person.
What is the Best Wireless Home Security Alarm System?
January 27th, 2010 — Home
I was shocked the other day at the amount of choices there were when I went shopping for a wireless home security alarm system. There was literally one whole aisle of the store dedicated to these systems and I had no idea how to begin choosing one. They all did the same thing yet the price ranges that they fell into were incredibly different. If any security experts out there that have information on these alarm systems know which brand and which model provides the homeowner with the best combination of performance and value, I would appreciate you letting me know.
