One exercise that you can do in your vertical jump training that does not require jumping, but can still help you improve your vertical is calve raises. All you have to do in a calve raise is stand on a ledge with your heels hanging off. It does not matter how high up the ledge is as long as you can let your heels hang off. Lift yourself up using your calf muscles and then slowly lower yourself back down to your original position. Do this as many repetitions as you can. Make sure you do not move to fast because then you will be wasting motion and energy. Move slowly and you will get the most out of the calve raises.

My 6 year old son just joined a youth sports team.  He has never really played sports before, so I thought this would be a perfect way to introduce sports to him.  In his first week he learned several youth flag football plays and was performing exceptionally well.  This coach really knew what he was doing.  They had their first game this past weekend and I couldn’t believe it, my son’s team won.  I was so excited.  My son knew exactly what to do and didn’t get confused about which way to run.  I am looking forward to their next game this coming weekend.

It is now official, I am no longer over weight according to my body mass index. I have really been working hard of late in order to maximise my fat loss and calorie out put.
