A few diets now are encouraging you to cheat in order to lose weight (I’m talking eating bad food to cheat not taking pills etc) like in the aptly named Cheat Your Way Thin diet. The idea is that your body will adapt to a new diet if you just eat less food for any period of time, and it will slow down your weight loss to match your new intake. If you cheat every so often then you shock your body and it stops thinking you have access to less food and goes back to its normal metabolic rate.
Is it okay to cheat on your diet?
