Mirrors Have many legends to them. One legend that is associated with mirrors is that if a baby looks into a mirror before its first birthday, it will die. Before its first brithday its soul is still developing. The old legend about a vampire not having a reflection is said to be because a vampire has no soul, and thus, no reflection. Some people have a phobia of mirrors. This phobia is called spectrophobia. Another superstition says that it is extremely bad luck to have one mirror facing another. It is also said that if a mirror is not covered during a wake for a deceased person that the soul of that person would be trapped into a mirro in the house.
