Is this a growing teenager, or a military coup.

I love our daughter to bits, but since she reached 13 she has become a bit domineering. My husband says she will mellow, by the time she’s 80! But I must stop this attitude of taking over control of the home. She’s like an army Sergeant at times. Like with the bathroom, she talks as if it is hers but we do have to share. Anyway, I am taking a softly softly approach, and involving her in some decision making. I took her out to look at some bathroom organizers so we could make a joint decision. It’s surprising how easily we agreed. Then we had a nice lunch together and a good laugh. I told her what her Dad said about her mellowing by the time she was 80. She seemed a bit embarrassed.
