You have finally made a purchase after years of saving or even after taking a loan. Then when you get home, you realize that there is a slight mistake; the item is faulty. You decide to go back to the shop where you bought it to exchange the item and they refuse to help out. Their policy does not allow goods to be returned once sold. You break down and start crying while thinking of ways to discard it. If you are the above described person, then you have not read the consumer rights act 1979. A faulty item is the responsibility of the trader and not the manufacturer. He should be able to reimburse you according to the sale of goods act if and when his goods are not satisfactory.
It does not function so there is no need of it
