Why research on the Internet may not be good

It is great that we can do research on the Internet so easily these days. Just a few years ago this was not possible. For the term search engine did not exist in our vocabulary until about 15 years ago. Now it’s sites like Google and not who are things that we used pretty much every day to find information on the best Internet. There so many articles out there that it would be impossible to locate them if they did not have some way to organize and catalog them. Search engines help us find articles on information are looking for very easily based on a few key words. It is amazing that the search engines are free for us because they are supported by advertising revenue.But the information you find in these articles online may not be accurate. This is the reality that some people are starting to understand when it comes to research on the Internet. They don’t understand and believe what they read without question. This is very dangerous as pretty much anyone can publish information in an article online. Online article is something anybody writes bits to a website and then poof, it is published. There is no review process and no way to fact check what they are saying for accuracy. This leaves the articles open to misuse or misleading information if you’re not careful. So while the Internet has gained us access to information we could never have had 20 years ago is also open us up to publishers who are not reducing appropriate information or checking their facts. Just keep this in mind as you do research on the Internet
